The owners of SET Gymnastics (Sacramento Elite Tumblers Gymnastics), Belle and Dan Misener, have relocated their business here in Natomas from Hawaii and formerly owned What’s Up Gymnastics for 14 successful years. The What’s Up Gymnastics Team always placed in the top 3 at State Championships and won 1st place in some of the State Championships. One of the brightest moments in the History of What’s Up Gymnastics, was when gymnast Randi Lau competed at the elite level in the Visa Championships in Boston, 2008. She placed 8th in the All Around and earned a spot on the National Training Team. Coach Dan is a 2x Men’s Advanced National Tumbling Champion in 1990 and 1991. At their former business in Hawaii they had 3 All Star Cheer Teams (No Ka Oi, Na Hoku, and Hawaiian Heat) that used the gym for practicing. Volcanic Rock Gym also got it’s start at What’s Up Gymnastics and still exists on the island of Oahu as a successful indoor rock climbing/bouldering gym. If you look on Yelp, you’ll see that they were loved by the community and provided a great service for all that attended their gym. The owners now reside in the Natomas area and are looking forward to doing the same thing here. Coach Dan is a veteran Marine that served in Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm.
